Rabbit
Box Packaging
Challenge
Conceptualize new packaging for Walmart's Private Label, Wonder Nation, for the Spring 2025 season.

Wonder Nation is a kid-centric brand for ages 4 through 12, that sells both accessories and apparel.

Packaging must be engaging and peggable on a retail level and must follow brand guidelines.

Product Specifications: A bulk pack of 45 mini hair claws.
Solution
Received popular trend direction for the Easter program from Product Designer.

Planned general Spring and Easter-themed packaging, and planned on making a box that resembled a rabbit.

Went through testing phases to better plan out panels for the box, so it can be properly secured when at retail level.

Composed dieline, mockups, and digital renders of packaging – following brand guidelines.
The Viewpoint
Provided with a moodboard and general idea of Spring/Summer 2025 trends from my Product Designer, I began to conceptualize packaging ideas following the trends that would most appeal to children: fruits, Spring iconography, and florals to name a few.

I came up with the idea to make "fun" packaging for the season to entice children and mothers to pick up the item.
The Construction
The Rabbit Box went through two stages of development, a rough stage and an editing stage. The rough stage is where I use simple shapes to compose the rough dieline. This is to get the desired structure correct before moving onto fine tuning and artwork placement.

With edits being made I finalized the dieline with the rabbit artwork.
The Mockup and Render
After finalizing the dieline I made a final mockup to test it's max capacity. The goal was to have the box fit approximately 45 mini hair claws while not breaking.

After doing so I also made a 2.5D render of the packaging so it can be shown to Sales so they can have a general idea of the packaging.
The "For Fun"
Ultimately, the item and the packaging weren't picked up. But, I liked it and thought it's pretty cool, innit it?

So, please enjoy this main image of the packaging.

Teehee!
